Niseed (Network for In Situ Experiment and Embryological Data) is a generic system designed to offer a representation of embryonic development at the level of the genome (cis-regulatory sequences, gene expression, protein annotation), of the cell (morphology, fate, induction, lineage) or of the whole embryo (anatomy, morphogenesis). The system was first applied to early ascidian embryos (Ascidian NISEED). http://aniseed-ibdm.univ-mrs.fr
CIPRO is an integrated protein database of the ascidian Ciona intestinalis, supported by Institute for Bioinformatics Research and Development, Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST-BIRD). CIPRO has been developed to provide widespread information of the proteins expressed in the ascidian Ciona intestinalis, especially for the researcher who wants to get advance and useful information for starting biological and biomedical research. The protein information in CIPRO directly links to gene expression, a tool for peptide mass fingerprinting (PMF), intracellular localization, 3D image of early development, and transgenic resources.
FABA (Four-dimensional Ascidian Body Atlas) includes ascidian's three-dimensional (3D) and cross-sectional images through the developmental time course. 26 distinct developmental stages (stages 1-26) from fertilized egg to hatching larva were defined for Ciona intestinalis. http://chordate.bpni.bio.keio.ac.jp/faba/top.html
