Ascidian Stock Center provides ascidians (Ciona intestinalis and Ciona savignyi) to researchers for only the cost of shipping. In addition, they are generating transgenic animals carrying tissue specific expression constructs. http://www.ascidiancenter.ucsb.edu
This website shows photographs of ascidian species from all over the world. Common species are illustrated with photos from different localities as an indication of intra-specific variation. Photos of larvae and labelled anatomical dissections are included for most ascidian families occurring off Bocas del Toro, Panama.

The « Plankton Chronicles » project is being created in the context of the Tara Oceans Expedition and the Observatoire Oceanologique de Villefranche-sur-Mer (OOV). Christian Sardet, Research Director with the CNRS at Villefranche-sur-Mer conceived the series with Véronique Kleiner and Catherine Balladur from CNRS Images (Meudon). Four episodes (Plankton, Pteropods, Pleurobrachia, Embryos and Larvae) were produced by CNRS Images, and the others by Christian Sardet / OOV / CNRS Cote-d'Azur. http://www.planktonchronicles.org
